for me today,
the sun shines.
the noise of the city
calls through the morning air,
seeming to bait me
into the street.

but, i'm staying in for now
you see, i have a cold.
and my chest kind of hurts.

i can't even remember
the last time i had one.
a cold that is.
no matter though,
things are good
just the same.

and since
i haven't filled you in,

here it is,
i've recently moved.
so i'm seeing the world
through new windows,
foggy and old,
but fresh.

new birds to watch
and new bells to listen for.

my previous chapter was fabulous,
don't get me wrong.
it was indeed
really really lovely.


but, i'm abreast for the new.
slightly melancholy,
but full of energy, happy,
and kind of bursting with a new sort of creativity.


and i'm
very very excited
about it all.

so, though i hadn't said,
i took a mini vacation for the last while.
which, by the way was amazing!



i'm home now though
and there are lots
of little things going on around here.

i want to lie back
and cover my eyes,
until the warm days of summer come.

after that,
when they do arrive

i want to ride my new bike.
let the sun shine on my back
and the
wind rush by my face.


it's going to be beautiful.
my new bike
that is.
with it's
wooden peddles,
and handle grips
and clean crisp lines.




i know just who will make it.

i'll show you the details
as they come.
i promise.
it will take a while,
but summer is still far off,
so it's ok.
plus, good things take time.

it's exciting though,
just the same.

until then,
like twig hutchinson's little bunny.
i'm covering my eyes,
for
a winters nap.
