it's been months,
i miss you guys!

all is good on my side

things over at HG are trucking right along.

we're getting ready for 
one last update before the holidays.

but the sky this morning
is a similar sort of blue.

the sun a similar sort of bright

and the day, a similar sort of good.

the perfection of summer days 
long behind us now
the beautiful and crisp of the winter months

fit snug in their place.

i like the tradition that brings,

i like its glitter and fuss.

i like that icicles hang from eavestroughs

and that snow covers my boots.

i like the way dinners are different

and i like how the seasons change food.

i like that nights are cozier.

and days are sometimes lazier.

 i like the idea of home for the holidays

and presents beneath the tree.

i like the idea of winter visits

and of twinkly lights.

i like that there's time for vacation

and equally so
that there's travel toward sun.

i've got lots to tell you
i'll be back with it soon.
